Coupons, Promotion Codes, and Deals

Digital Amazon Coupons

Amazon and 3rd party sellers will sometimes offer digital coupons that you can clip directly from the product page. When you checkout, this discount will be applied to the qualifying items in your order. These coupons can be one-time use or multi-use, and sometimes stack with promotion codes as well.

Promotion Codes

Promotion codes may be offered on a single product or for buying multiples of an item, and can be found various ways, such as on the Amazon product page, social media posts, email, and more. You can enter a promo code at checkout to apply it to qualifying items in your order.

Special Deals

Amazon will sometimes offer special deals in a category, such as pet products or cleaning supplies. These offers will require you to hit a certain spending threshold to get extra savings. This might look like “Spend $100 on select pet products, get a $30 credit”. As with other money-saving Amazon ideas on this page, you can often use with other discounts for the ultimate savings.

Manufacturer Rebates

Some retailers on Amazon, such as Proctor & Gamble, will offer rebate incentives when you purchase a certain amount of qualifying items on Amazon. You can find these promotions on any relevant product page, along with links to other products that qualify. These rebates can often stack with other discounts like coupons, promo codes, and amazon deals.

Shopping With Points

Shop With Points Promotional Offers

Most credit card issuers have integrated their reward points with Amazon so that you can pay for all or part of purchases with those points. To promote this redemption option, many of these issuers run promotions related to shop on Amazon with points – either rewarding you to link your accounts or to make your first shop with points purchase. This could be something like $10 to link your account, or 40% off when you use 1 point, which is an exceptional deal and can save you money.

Redeem Linked Rewards Points

Aside from promotional shop on Amazon with points offers, you can use your linked credit card rewards points to pay for your purchase directly. However, we wouldn’t advise using your valuable points this way, because it’s a terrible conversion rate. On average, you’re only getting about 0.6¢ per point, but we aim to always get at least 1.0¢ or higher per reward point to get maximum value.

Cash Back Apps

Top Cashback Amazon Offers

Save on Prime Membership and Amazon Devices

Most cash back apps don’t offer savings on Amazon.com. However, Top Cashback is one of the few to offer cash back on Amazon (at the time of writing), in some select categories. This includes $15 cash back on Amazon Prime membership (effectively a discounted membership), $12 cash back on Amazon Music Unlimited, and up to 8% cash back on Amazon devices and accessories – such as Kindle e-reader, Ring devices, Echo, Fire TV and Fire Tablets, Astro, Glow, Blink and more.

Subscribe and Save

Put Basics On Auto-Replenish

By subscribing to everyday essentials like toiletries, cleaning supplies, and pantry staples, you can benefit from discounted prices and avoid the last-minute rush to purchase these items. Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program provides flexibility and up to 15% savings on routine purchases, which can be used in tandem with some of the other savings methods discussed in this article.

Amazon Warehouse & Amazon Outlet

Save Big on Refurbished or Minor Blemish Items

Shopping for refurbished or slightly imperfect items can save you a substantial amount of money without compromising on quality. Amazon Warehouse has a huge variety of discounted products, with everything from electronics to home goods. These items come at a steep discount for easily accepted issues for most products – like minor packaging damage, small blemished on the product, or are professionally refurbished (which many times yields a higher quality standard than original manufacturing).

Get Deep Discounts on Overstock Inventory

Overstock items often come with significant markdowns as retailers aim to clear excess inventory. When browsing through Amazon Outlet, you can find items from nearly any category. Whether you’re looking for clothing, electronics, or home decor, you can find discounted items that allow you to save a lot of money, and you can still apply many of the other ideas outlined here for some seriously deep savings.

Earning Promotional Credits

Use No-Rush Shipping

When placing your Amazon order, consider choosing the No-Rush Shipping option to earn promotional credits for being patient. These are usually digital credits for $1-2 that can be accumulated and used towards future Amazon purchases, like Prime Video rentals.

Price Tracking Alerts

Track prices with CamelCamelCamel

CamelCamelCamel is a popular free Amazon price tracking tool that allows you to view the price history of products sold on Amazon. By setting up price alerts for specific items, you can get notifications when prices decrease, helping you ensure you’re getting the best price. This is especially helpful on larger purchases like a TV, appliance, or furniture where you could save $100’s.

Amazon Prime Membership

Free Shipping, No Minimum

One of the standouts and original perks of Amazon Prime benefits is the free two-day shipping on eligible items, with some items qualifying for faster times like same day or one-day delivery. This is of course the ultimate convenience: no minimum spending to worry about and quick shipping to your door step. And of course, Amazon has a generous returns policy if it doesn’t work out.

Prime Member Exclusive Deals

Being a Prime member opens up opportunities to save more on a wide range of items. Prime members gain access to special events like Amazon Prime Day, family-oriented offers, early access items on Amazon, and limited-time discounts that are not available to non-members.

Save at Whole Foods

If you shop at Whole Foods Market, being an Amazon Prime member can give you additional savings and benefits. Prime members get access to exclusive discounts and additional savings on storewide sales when using the Amazon or Whole Foods app. Pair with a Prime Visa to get 5% back on all Whole Foods purchases, and this becomes a more cost-effective choice for grocery shopping.

Free Grubhub+ Membership

As a Prime member, you can also take advantage of a complimentary Grubhub+ membership, which normally costs $9.99 per month and saves you money on food delivery. When you pair this with a credit card like the American Express Gold Card, where you get monthly Grubhub statement credit, you can really save on busy weeknights when you need to do takeout or delivery.

Tip!: Choose pick-up instead of delivery to save even more.

Prime Video Streaming

You can save money on streaming services by pairing back to one service or a select few, including Prime Video. The service has mostly free movie and TV entertainment to suit many different interests, with the option to rent new releases. Prime Video has also introduced a lot of original content series over the last couple of years, which has added value.

Adding It All Up

By combining the various money-saving strategies and leveraging the benefits of Amazon Prime membership, you can maximize your savings and get the most out of your Amazon shopping experience. Whether it’s through cash back, free shipping, or exclusive deals – there are plenty of ways to save more money on your online shopping through Amazon.
